Beginning in 2012, Quality Counts
Training verification will be required for all youth exhibiting
livestock - market &/or breeding - at major livestock shows in Texas.
The
verification process will require all 4H & FFA livestock exhibitors to
successfully pass an on-line exam to ensure that their livestock projects meet all food
quality standards as well as indicating their knowledge level of honorable
personal character traits.
Exhibitors
need to be verified once as a junior exhibitor (13 years of age or younger) and
once again as a senior exhibitor (14 years and older).
Exhibitors
must score 80% or above (may take test as many times as needed). Upon passing
the exam, exhibitors will be given a verification number to present with their
entry information for major livestock shows.
Exhibitor
verification must be completed before show entry.
If
exhibitors are 4H & FFA members, they will only need one verification
number.
